The Valentine Valet
The heart, a constant reminder of your loves and being loved, is depicted in this delightful six-panel basket with charming ribbon handle. Each panel features a Carolinian floral border with hearts creating the flower petals, each motif separated with a wedged border. Over the border on each panel is a valentine verse from an 1800's Scherenschnitte cutwork valentine and personalization and wedge borders on the upper edges. The basket is stitched on 32-ct. linen and lined with a coordinating silk highlighting the raspberry silks used in the stitching. Each of the six basket panels is joined with a specialty stitch that are joined to the hexagonal base. French silk ribbon is used for the handle.
